Very Special // Brandon Schäfer-Gehrau (GER)
Brandon Schäfer-Gehrau, has been a member of the Eventing Perspective Group since 2020. He was already highly successful as a pony rider, junior and young rider up to the respective international championship level, meanwhile the 23-year-old sports soldier has successes up to CCI4* on his account and is considered one of the most promising talents in German eventing.
The goal is clear: Brandon wants to represent Germany at major championships even after his time in the junior squad. In search of a suitable young horse that could make this dream come true in due course, the Schäfer-Gehrau family sought advice from Elmar Lesch in 2019 and also found something very special in Bavendorf: "Very Special", then a 4-year-old. The impressive success statistics already show that Elmar Lesch has succeeded in fully meeting the customer's wishes and bringing together a perfect rider/horse combination in this case as well: victories and placings from young horse competitions to victory on the international stage in the CCI3*-S in Jardy 2023 are extremely positive for the future path of this pair!
